With a background in finance and business, and also in the humanities, since 1990, Eija Salmi has been a global networker and advocate for international education and research in art, design and media. She is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and she loves creating new ideas and concepts together with partners from business, industry, government and NGOs. Eija is convinced that education and research-led innovation has the power to drive forward new developments and improve quality of life. It is her mission to empower the next generation of designers by encouraging both them and their alma maters to play an impactful role in placing the needs of the earth first and in creating the right balance between people, planet and profit.
