Global Design Director at Bosch

Robert Sachon studied fine arts in Mannheim, followed by a degree in industrial design from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. He also completed the General Management Program (GMP19) at the renowned Harvard Business School.

He looks back on a long design career in the field of household appliances. He worked, for example, as a designer for Siemens and was later responsible for the design of the BSH brands in Southern Europe and South America, which belong to the Siemens group.

Since 2005, as global design director at Bosch, he has been shaping the face of the brand in the home appliance sector worldwide. Together with his core design team in Munich and Bosch designers based in the design hubs (USA, China, India, and Turkey), he creates icons for everyday life. He and his team have received more than 700 international design awards in recognition of their holistic design approach. In addition to numerous iF Design Awards and German Design Awards, Robert Sachon and the Bosch Home Appliances Design Team were recognized with the honorary title "Red Dot: Design Team of the Year 2015".
