Video recording “Round Table – Continuities and Breaks. Ways of German Design Education”

The special exhibition German Design 1949-1989. Two Countries, One History by the Kunstgewerbemuseum Dresden was displayed at the Kunsthalle im Lipsiusbau.

The special exhibition “German Design 1949-1989. Two countries, one story" of Dresden Decorative Arts Museum in the Kunsthalle im Lipsiusbau was created in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein and the Wüstenrot Foundation. On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition, René Spitz moderated the panel discussion “Round Table – Continuities and Breaks. Ways of German design education”. In a discussion with Prof. Barbara Schmidt Weißensee art college Berlin, Prof. Elke Mathiebe, HTW Dresden, Prof. Justus Theinert, Darmstadt College, and Prof. Christian Zöllner, Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle René Spitz, professor at the RFH – University of Applied Science and board member of the iF Design Foundation, examines this question.
