Antoine Abi Aad (Ph.D. and MA University of Tsukuba i Japan, DES Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts in Lebanon), is a designer, Assistant Professor, Head of Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication at the Lebanese University (Lebanon). He is also a frequent guest lecturer and has given talks and workshops at numerous institutions, including the Universida de de Brasilia (Brazil), International Design School (Jakarta), Institute of Business and Design (Moscow), Hong Kong Design Institute, IIT Bombay, Greenside Design Center College of Design (Johannesburg), Nara University of Education (Japan), and Yale University (New Haven).
Having taught 1600 students since 2004, Antoine’s true dedicating is for research and experimentations. His passion is for letters: typography, calligraphy and handwriting. The different scripts he writes (Arabic, Latin and Japanese) led him to have special interests in the directions of writing, leftward, rightward and downward, and how these directions affect visual communication and advertising, or even more, motion graphics and animation.
Antoine is the Chairperson of Typoday Amman 2020, and he also served as a vice president of i-cod (formerly Icograda) from 2015 to 2017.
Antoine received his DES in Advertising from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts in Lebanon in 2000. Shortly thereafter, he moved for seven years to Japan, where he completed both his Masters of Arts (2004) and his Ph.D. (2007) in Visual Communication Design at the University of Tsukuba. After a year of postdoctoral research, he returned to Lebanon to take up his duties as Assistant Professor and coordinator of international cultural events and exchange programs between universities at his Alma Mater, ALBA. 10 years later, he joined the Lebanese University as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, and he is currently Head of Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture.
Having Phoenician blood in his veins, Antoine loves traveling. Lani Adeoye is driven by an innate desire to add creative value, using design as a dynamic tool to express her artistic perspective, redefine heritage and manifest intangible values.
Her boutique design studio (Studio-Lani) creates sculptural lighting fixtures and emotive furniture pieces, which celebrate West African Elegance with a contemporary sensibility. Blurring the lines between Art, Craft & Design. She also works as a design consultant, developing concepts for various brands such as Google, YouTube and NetGear; designing unique products and experiences. Most recently she was selected by Elle Décor as part of its ‘ Women of the World’ 75 Global Female Designers worth celebrating. Dwell Magazine also included her in its annual list of ‘Young Guns – New Designers Making Waves’. And in 2017 she won the Wanted Design’s Launch Pad furniture competition in New York City. She has been featured in Architectural Digest, Design Milk, Elle Decor, Vogue, Design Indaba and Dwell amongst other publications.
Her versatility as a designer is a testament to her diverse life experiences, having lived in four major cities, namely Lagos, Montreal, Toronto & New York. After graduating from McGill University, she worked in Management Consulting, before transitioning into design and attending Parsons, The New School.

Chrissa Amuah is the Founder & Creative Director of AMWA Designs, an Adinkra inspired luxury homeware and interiors brand. She is an MA graduate from the world-renowned Chelsea College of Art & Design, University of the Arts London. Chrissa describes living with a sense of duality. Although born and raised in London, her heritage stems from Ghana, Togo and Benin; but it is from Ghana that she draws most of her design led inspiration.
Following an international debut at Milan Design Week 2015, Chrissa has gained global recognition with press features in Elle Décor Italia, Departures magazine and the FT’s How To Spend It, to name a few.
She has since gone on to establish AFRICA BY DESIGN; a concept of love intended to showcase and celebrate the best of Africa’s design talent. AFRICA BY DESIGN works to create international commercial opportunities for its featured designers. Since its launch, AFRICA BY DESIGN has exhibited in five cities across four continents. In 2017, Chrissa was recognised as the Black British Business Award Consumer & Luxury Category ‘Rising Star’.
2020 will see the launch of her collection with Bernhardt Design – one of America’s most highly reputed and largest textile and furniture manufacturers. AMWA Designs is also selected as the upholstery supplier for the relaunch of the Holiday Inn, Lusaka Zambia.
The highlights of 2020 include, Chrissa Amuah’s collaboration with renowned architect, Alice Asafu-Adjaye, to represent Ghana for the London Biennale 2020.

Natalia is a versatile and self-employed Media and UX Designer with a passion for print products and branding. She is a native speaker of both German and Icelandic and finds inspiration in international collaboration and connection.
With a background as a trained media designer, Natalia has had the privilege of working with advertising agencies and small businesses across Europe. Her journey in the field has equipped her with a profound understanding of a wide range of design tools, enabling her to craft captivating visual experiences. Furthermore she has developed powerful brand strategies and campaigns. Her proficiency extends to social media management and customer relationship management, where she has successfully driven engagement and loyalty.
In early 2023, Natalia achieved her bachelor’s degree in Media Design, with a specialized focus on Branding and Art Direction. Currently, she is pursuing her master’s degree in User Experience Design at RFH Cologne, further enriching her skill set. Her concentration centers on the creation of user-centered designs, ensuring that every product she crafts places the user experience at the forefront. Natalia is also delving into the exciting realm of emerging technologies, exploring how AI can be used to enhance and elevate the field of design.

Katrin Androschin ist Expertin für Markenführung, Markenidentität und strategisches Design. Mit ihrer Agentur EMBASSY entwickelt sie Markenstrategien, Design und Kommunikation für Unternehmen, Städte, Regionen und Länder. Zu den von EMBASSY kreierten Place Brands gehören die Stadt Berlin („Be Berlin“), die lettische Hauptstadt Riga, die Deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft Belgiens (Place Brand „Ostbelgien“) und Oberösterreich. Sie ist Moderatorin für Veränderungs- und Innovationsprozesse und erfahrenes Jurymitglied für Innovationsförderprogramme.
Katrin Androschin ist seit 2002 Professorin für Design und leitet seit 2016 den internationalen Studiengang M.A. Strategic Design an der SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences. Zuvor war sie Professorin an der Fachhochschule Dresden, an der University of Europe for Applied Sciences (btk) Berlin und an der Freien Universität Bozen in Italien. Weitere Lehraufträge führten sie an die German University in Cairo (Campus Berlin), die Estnische Akademie der Künste Tallinn, das ITB Institute of Technology Bandung auf Java/Indonesien und das Istituto Superiore di Design in Neapel. Katrin Androschin beschäftigt sich in ihren Hochschulprojekten häufig mit strategischem Design Thinking, Design Innovation und digitalen Strategien.

Prof. Dr. rer. pol. habil. Hans-Knud Arndt, geboren 1963 in Hamburg. Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Hamburg mit Abschluß als Diplom-Kaufmann 1990. Von 1991 bis 1992 Consulting-Tätigkeit bei einem mittelständischen Unternehmen in Berlin und bei der Firma Siemens-Nixdorf Informationssysteme Berlin AG in der Niederlassung Berlin im Bereich der Lösungsorientierten Beratung. Ab 1992 bis Mitte 1995 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für ökologische Wirtschaftsforschung (IÖW) gGmbH in der Forschungsgruppe „Ökologische Unternehmenspolitik“ in Berlin. Jenny Baese arbeitet seit 2019 als Professorin an der Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft in Dresden und vertritt dort die Lehre im Bereich des Kommunikationdesigns.
In den vorangegangenen zehn Jahren war sie an verschiedenen künstlerischen Hochschulen (Halle, Potsdam, UdK Berlin) in der Lehre tätig; sowohl in der Grundlagenvermittlung als auch im Projektstudium im B. A. und M.A. Sie kennt die Hochschullehre im Design der letzten zwei Jahrzehnte aus jeder Perspektive als Studentin (Potsdam, Zürich, Leipzig), als Mitarbeiterin, als Professorin. Inzwischen weiß sie, dass jede Hochschule eine ganz eigener Kosmos ist, den es immer wieder neu kennenzulernen und wichtiger noch in Frage zu stellen gilt.
Ihr Hauptinteresse gilt Wirkungsfeldern die intermedial angelegt sind und in denen es um die Entwicklung, Vermittlung und Inszenierung von Inhalten geht. Wichtig ist ihr, bereits zu Beginn der Erarbeitung von Gestaltungskonzepten die Notwendigkeit der eingesetzten Medien zu überprüfen und Gestaltungsprinzipien zu entwickeln, die sich als ein Regulatorium für verschiedene Medien denken lassen. Gestalten heißt für sie nicht solitäres Ausüben von künstlerischen Ambitionen, sondern versteht sie als ein gemeinsames Entwickeln im Dialog miteinander.
In ihrem Berliner Studio konzipiert sie vor allem Bücher und in ihrer Gestaltung erforscht sie die narrativen Möglichkeiten vor allem im Feld des wissenschaftlichen Publizieren. Sie entwickelt seit 2008 in Zusammenarbeit mit Prof. Dr. Christian Reutlinger Publikationsformate, die im Zusammenhang der Forschung des Instituts für Soziale Arbeit und Räume, der Fachhochschule OST, St. Gallen entstehen.
Von 2015 bis 2023 begleitete sie als Gestalterin die Forschung und das publizistische Outcome des Graduiertenkolleg der Universität der Künste, Berlin »Das Wissen der Künste«.

Ihre berufliche Laufbahn startete Baumert an den Städtischen Bühnen Münster. Dort absolvierte sie eine Ausbildung zur Theatermalerin, wo sie alle Techniken der Plakat- und Schriftmalerei bis hin zur Architektur-, Landschafts-, Portrait- und Illusionsmalerei erlernte. Nach der Ausbildung zog es sie an die Bühnen der Landeshauptstadt Kiel wo sie drei weitere Jahre als Theatermalerin für zahlreiche Bühnenproduktionen tätig war.
Anschließend gab sie mit einem Studium des Kommunikationsdesigns an der Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel ihrer künstlerischen Qualifikation eine neue Ausrichtung. Während des Studiums hatte sie verschiedene Engagements als Stage Designerin in Spanien, in der Türkei und in Tunesien, um dort Bühnenbilder für einige Theater großer Hotelanlagen zu entwickeln. 2004 realisierte sie im Rahmen ihres Studiums einen Videoclip für die Band Fury in the Slaughterhouse als eine der ersten immersiven 360° Alldome-Projektionen für die Planetarien Hamburg und Kiel.
2006 schloss sie Ihr Studium erfolgreich mit dem Diplom ab und arbeitete drei Jahre lang in verschiedenen Werbeagenturen, bevor sie sich mit einem eigenen Designbüro in Kiel selbstständig machte. Ihre Kunden kommen aus der öffentlichen Hand sowie klein- und mittelständischen Bereich.
2016 folgten erste freiberufliche Lehraufträge im Design digitaler Medien an der Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel, der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel und der Technischen Hochschule Lübeck.
Seit 2022 ist Kirsten Baumert Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben in den Grundlagen der Gestaltung an der MSD Münster School of Design.

Colin is recognised as a leading global thinker, writer and skilled practitioner in Experiential Learning. He has worked with many organisations advising on learning and development, including the Foreign Service Department of the US Government working on the development of diplomats and ambassadors. He has also advised the Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Youth and Culture in Singapore on educational issues. He has worked with many corporate clients, public bodies, universities and charities. Colin was invited as a member of the European Innovation Team of Interface. Flor, the world’s largest floor textile manufacturer.
His work includes over 60 global keynotes, 19 book chapters, 44 refereed articles, and several books, including an audio book on sensory intelligence, and a 4th edition book on experiential learning. He has held three visiting professorships, including two in leading Chinese universities. He is on the editorial board and reviewing panels of many leading journals. He is a National Teaching Fellow, Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Zwischen 2001 und 2007 war er neben seiner publizistischen Tätigkeit als Creative Director für Kommunikationsagenturen und Designbüros tätig und beriet als Kommunikationsexperte internationale Unternehmen. 2008 wurde er zum Professor für Markenmanagement und Kommunikation berufen und übernahm 2010 die Geschäftsführung der staatlich anerkannten privaten Hochschule AMD Akademie Mode & Design.
Ab 2013 leitete er im Präsidium der Hochschule Fresenius den neu gegründeten Fachbereich Design und wurde dort 2017 auch zum Vizepräsidenten für Studium und Lehre gewählt. Schwerpunkte seiner Tätigkeit sind Digitalisierungsprojekte in Studium und Lehre sowie strategische Neuausrichtungen von Hochschulen und ihrer Bildungsprogramme insbesondere im gestalterischen Bereich. Professor Baumgartner gibt u.a. die Hochschulschriftenreihe Visuelle Kulturen heraus. Zuletzt erschien darin von ihm der Essay Die kreative Revolte. Ekkehart Baumgartner lebt und arbeitet in München.

Born in Casablanca to a Moroccan father and a German mother, Safir grew up in a multicultural environment after moving to Luxemburg at the age of six. After getting his engineering degree in Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, he secured an internship at Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart before being accepted to Art Center College of Design’s Transportation Design program. With over 20 years of combined experience as an automotive engineer and industrial designer, Safir has been able to leverage his strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills to tackle a wide range of innovation challenges. Safir was an early adopter of 3D design and prototyping tools and carried his experience from the automotive world into the fashion and footwear industry. As Head of Innovation for the industry’s leading Action Sports brand, Vans, he oversaw a number of initiatives that spanned across product and experiences. In his new role, heading Digital Innovation for VF’s 20+ Apparel, Footwear, and Accessories brands (amongst which Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Dickies and most recently Supreme), he aims to explore the opportunities offered by digital tools and workflows and imagine the future of Digital Design and Product Creation.
He is an Aspen Institute First Mover’s fellow, heads up the 3D Retail Coalition’s Education Committee and teaches Design and Innovation at Art Center College of Design as well as at University of Southern California’s Iovine and Young Academy (founded by Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine). An advocate of purposeful and responsible design, Safir has been pursuing a passion project, building out his vision of an experimental model for education in Design and Innovation. For this, he is in the process of securing partnerships with some of the most respected thought leaders and educational institutions to help democratize access to world-class education and close the digital skills gap. Safir speaks 8 languages, lives in Pasadena, California with his wife and twin daughters, and spends his free time practicing the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira, going down slopes at an unreasonable speed on a mountain bike or snowboard and traveling the world in pursuit of the perfect shot and the perfect bite.

Kevin Bethune is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of dreams • design + life, a „think tank“ that delivers design & innovation services using a human-centered approach. Kevin‘s background spans engineering, business and design in equal proportion over his 20+ year career, positioning him to help brands deliver meaningful innovations to enrich people‘s lives.
Kevin began his career as a mechanical engineer in the nuclear power industry. This chapter gave him deep product experience working with high performing teams across 14 nuclear reactor upgrade campaigns. After his MBA, Kevin joined Nike, Inc. in a business capacity, but quickly navigated to the Global Footwear product engine to drive advanced digital product creation capabilities, discovering the world of design in the process.
After solidifying his creative foundation through further studies at ArtCenter College of Design, Kevin co-founded distinct design & innovation capabilities at two Tier 1 management consulting firms in Booz & Co. and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). As VP of Strategic Design at BCG Digital Ventures, he led a large cohort of designers that would influence and shape every corporate venture spun out from the incubator. Kevin left BCG Digital Ventures to carve his own path under the banner of dreams • design + life, focusing on unlocking human potential through strategic design, industrial design and the building of new ecologies.

Nicole Birlenbach beschäftigt sich mit dem Raum und der Vermittlung von Inhalten. Als Konzeptionerin und Strategin entwickelt sie seit 2015 bei Atelier Markgraph Ausstellungen sowie innovative Vermittlungsformate. Zuvor hat sie das Designforum Rheinland-Pfalz geleitet und sich mit Vorträgen, Fachbeiträgen, Symposien sowie einer Designpreis-Ausrichtung für die Stärkung der Disziplin eingesetzt.
Zu ihren Referenzen zählen u.a. Ausstellungen wie „Mytopanton – Ableitungen im Design„, „Digitalability” sowie Veranstaltungen wie „Wer formt die Stadt?”. Neben ihrer kuratorischen Arbeit für Hessen Design hat sie von 2007 bis 2017 die Designplattform designkritik.dk als Co-Initiatorin ins Leben gerufen, um die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit der Profession zu suchen.
Nach ihrem Studium an der Köln International School of Design folgten Arbeitsstationen bei Bel Epok, NowakTeufelKnyrim und dem Internationalen Design Festival Berlin DESIGNMAI.

Dominik Böhler, Ph.D – Head of Entrepreneurship & Tech Education at Unternehmer TUM Dominik Böhler is responsible for entrepreneurial and technology-oriented teaching activities for students. This includes curricular courses (Tech Talents) and personal development programs (Manage&More) at TUM and beyond.
Focal fields are personality development, design thinking, technology development, and business modeling. Dominik and his team put emphasis on developing new methods in teaching and delivering prototypes in a flipped classroom setting. He graduated in business administration and holds a PhD in information systems from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU).

Professor Ilona Boniwell is one of the European leaders in positive psychology, studying, researching, teaching and implementing positive psychology for over 20 years, working as an academic, but also as a consultant with private companies, education, higher education and governmental institutions.
She is a full professor of positive psychology and coaching psychology at the University of East London, co-directs the International MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology and a PhD Programme in Positive Psychology at UEL, teaches Positive Management at l’Ecole CentraleSupelec Paris and HEC, and consults around the world as a director of Positran. Her main teaching expertise lies in the areas of positive psychology and positive psychology applications, with research interests around: subjective time use, time perspective, eudaimonic well-being, measuring well-being and engagement at work, tangible tools and applications of positive psychology to business, executive coaching and education.
Ilona founded and was the first Chair of the European Network of Positive Psychology (ENPP), and was subsequently the member of its Steering Committee for many years. She organised the first European Congress of Positive Psychology in June 2002 (Winchester), starting a successful tradition of bi-annual events. She was the first Vice-Chair of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) and has been continuingly the member of its Board of Directors since 2007. She is currently the Vice-President for the Francophone Association of Positive Psychology, serves on the Board of Directors of the Wellbeing Education Network (WEN) and is a co-editor of the Applied Positive Psychology Journal.
She had authored, co-authored and co-edited twelve books within the discipline of positive psychology. Ilona is the author of Positive Psychology in a Nutshell (2006, PWBC; 2016, McGraw-Hill), co-author of The Happiness Equation (2008, Adams Media), Positive Psychology: Theory, Research and Applications (2011, 2019, Open University Press), Well-Being Lessons for Secondary Schools (2012, Open University Press), co-editor of The Oxford Handbook of Happiness (2013, Oxford University Press) and Positive Psychology Coaching in the Workplace (2021), and co-author of Motivated Adolescents (2015, Odile Jacob) and PEPS: Positive Education for Parents and Schools (2018, Leduc). She is currently working on a new book, Positive Psychology at Work in a Nutshell (forthcoming in 2022). She acted as the main consultant for and appeared in the BBC2 series The Happiness Formula (2006). Her other media work included Guardian, Times, Top Sante, Cosmopolitan and Psychologies articles, TV and radio interviews, and columns. Currently, she is consulting ARTE on the documentary about the progress of positive psychology (appearing alongside Professor Martin Seligman) and writing a monthly column for the Positive Psychology magazine.
Ilona frequently addresses psychology and professional audiences at national and international conferences, having delivered a TEDx, as well as over 300 keynotes, invited presentations and workshops. Multiple keynotes delivered range from those addressed to highly specialist audiences (e.g. International Conference for School Violence, Canada, 2018; 9th European Congress of Positive Psychology, Hungary, 2018; 5th Happiness and Well-Being Summit, Mexico, 2017; 8th Congress of the European Network of Positive Psychology, France, 2016), the 5th Australian Positive Psychology and Well-being Conference, Australia, 2016), through to many other professional groups – business leaders (e.g. EY, Luxembourg, 2021; Chanel, France, 2021; Goldman Sachs, UK, 2018), teachers (e.g., GESS Education, UAE, 2018), parents (e.g. Unilever, 2020-21), general public audiences (e.g. Action for Happiness, UK, 2014) and even children (e.g. Printemps d’Optimisme, France 2021). She gave evidence to the British and Bhutan Governments, and addressed congresses of up to 5, 000 delegates (e.g., LH Positive Economy Forum, Italy 2014).
Ilona is passionate about practical applications of positive psychology to coaching, business and education. Her clients include Club Med, L’Oreal, Microsoft, SNCF, EDF, Sanofi, Bull, Mars, Eric Bompard, Microsoft, BNP Paribas, Sanofi, Sodexo and many others. Nowadays, as a director of Positran, a boutique consultancy specialising in the applications of evidence-based methodologies to achieve lasting positive transformation, Ilona delivers advanced professional training in positive psychology. She has developed her own approach to positive psychology coaching and training and trained thousands of professionals around the world (in Japan, Singapore, China, Dubai, South Africa, Portugal, France and the UK). She further worked for the Government of Bhutan to develop a framework for happiness-based public policy at the request of the UN, as a member of the International Expert Working Group for the New Development Paradigm. She also consulted the Prime Minister’s Office of the UAE around the development of the toolkit for workplace positivity and organisational well-being assessment.

Dr. Booyse holds a D. Ed in Didactics, with specialisation in instructional science and assessment practices. Her experience spans over 30 years in education as teacher, lecturer, academic registrar, curriculum and assessment expert, academic coordinator, programme developer and researcher. At Umalusi, she is responsible for a variety of cross-cutting tasks to ensure standards development processes of the education and training sectors under the guardianship of Umalusi.
She oversees research, strategic internal and external support, statistical information, standardisation and resulting. She develops instruments for comparative research, international benchmarking, to determine levels of productive thinking, cross-mapping of outcomes and the analysis of assessment items. She does the conceptual framing of research initiatives and embeds the development of curriculum guidelines in theoretical frameworks.
She is the co-writer of four books on learning programme development and curriculum studies. Her articles and conference papers are on instructional design, assessment practices, curriculum matters, the application of typologies, also as strategy in skill development, the impact of feedback and teaching methodologies.
To keep equilibrium, her interests are in biofeedback technology, growing bonsai and orchids and involvement in community development initiatives.
The following encapsulates my beliefs on education: I embrace a holistic, neuroscientific view of deepening learning and metacognition in order for a child to make meaning and strong connections. I embrace scaffolded, discovery learning and assessment based on conducive cognitive-motivational-relational configurations and which is directed to innovation and critical, constructive thinking.

Vizepräsident der TU Darmstadt für Studium, Lehre und den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs. Professor Bruder studierte Elektrotechnik an der (damaligen) Technischen Hochschule Darmstadt. Von 1988-1996 arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Arbeitswissenschaft der TH Darmstadt, an dem er sich 1992 mit einer Dissertation zur Anwendung der künstlichen Intelligenz in der Arbeitswissenschaft promovierte.
Von 1996 bis 2005 war er Universitätsprofessor für das Fach Ergonomie im Design an der Universität Duisburg-Essen und Leiter des von ihm gegründeten Instituts für Ergonomie und Designforschung. Im Jahr 2002 wurde er zum Gründungspräsidenten der design school zollverein berufen.
Von 2004 bis 2006 leitete er als Präsident und Geschäftsführer die Zollverein School of Management and Design. Seit 2006 ist er Universitätsprofessor für Arbeitswissenschaft und Leiter des Instituts für Arbeitswissenschaft der TU Darmstadt. Professor Bruder war von 2011 bis 2015 Präsident der Gesellschaft für Arbeitswissenschaft. Seit 1. Januar 2014 ist er Vizepräsident der TU Darmstadt für Studium, Lehre und den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs.

Nathalie Bucher arbeitet als Senior Designer CMF (Color, Material and Finishes) für einen globalen Automobilhersteller. Für sie sind Materialien die Schnittstelle zwischen Mensch und Produkt – Es ist die interaktive und emotionale Verbindung. Ein Teil ihrer Arbeit ist die weltweite Entwicklung von Farb- und Materialkonzepten für Produktionsprodukte der Zukunft.
Der andere Teil ist die Forschung und Entwicklung neuer Materialien mit mehr Funktionen oder natürlicheren Inhalten, der Versuch, die Produkte von heute zu optimieren, um sie nachhaltiger und emotionaler zu gestalten. Nathalie Bucher hat Transportation Interior Design an der Hochschule Reutlingen studiert. Dabei hat sie ein sehr gutes Verständnis für die Automobilindustrie bekommen, und für alle, die in dieser Branche arbeiten. In ihrem Studium wurde viel Basiswissen vermittelt, auf dem sie mit dem Einstieg in das Berufsleben aufbauen konnte. Ihr Plan B in Sachen Berufswahl war immer Lehrerin zu werden.

Nach einer handwerklichen Ausbildung studierte Simon Busse Industrial Design an der Staatlichen Akademie der bildenden Künste Stuttgart und der Design Academy Eindhoven bei Richard Hutten und Gijs Bakker. Stationen in Barcelona im Design Studio Gonzalo Milá und dem Architekturbüro Xavier Claramunt bestätigten ihn, 2005 sein eigenes Studio zu gründen.
Seitdem entwirft und entwickelt das Studio Projekte vom seriellen Industrieprodukt über individuelle Möbelobjekte bis hin zu inszenierten Räumen. So vielfältig die Aufgabenbereiche, so unterschiedlich die Skalierung und die Auftraggeber: Für Abus entstehen Sicherheitskonzepte und -produkte, für deSede Möbel für den Office-Bereich, für das Land Baden-Württemberg Ausstellungen und im Workhouse von USM vertiefte Simon Busse mit seinen Workshop-Gästen räumliche Konzepte zukünftiger Arbeitswelten in einem unkonventionellen Rahmen. Die Arbeiten des Studios wurden vielfach in Print- und Online-Magazinen wie Financial Times, Detail, Stylepark, Icon, Dezeen oder Wallpaper publiziert, ausgezeichnet und international ausgestellt.
Die Lehre ist für Simon Busse ein weiteres wichtiges Anliegen über die Jahre geworden. Daher ist er seit 2011 als Dozent an internationalen Hochschulen wie Elisava (Barcelona), FHNW (Basel), China Academy of Art (Hangzhou) und AdbK (München) tätig und gibt in Workshops, Seminaren und Entwurfsbetreuungen seine Erfahrungen weiter – seit 2021 als Gastprofessor für Industriedesign an der Hochschule Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Prof. Angela Clemens works on various design and art topics. She likes to experiment with new technologies and develop creative solutions for almost anything.
Since 2017, Angela is Professor for Intermedia Design at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. In Flensburg, Angela has build up and manages the DesignLab, is part of the campus sustainability network (NeNa), as well as the Center for Visualization and Usability (CIVU). In her teaching, she is focussing on Intermedia and Intervention Design, and investigates the creative potential of light installations.
Previously, Angela taught at the School of Design at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, where she was also First Year Programme Director. In her research, Angela focussed on Basic Design Education and Interaction Design for children. As a part of her art projects, Angela photographed the curious Kiwi custom of taking interior furniture outside, and – back in Germany – creates artistic couch installations herself (https://couch-projekt.de/).
Angela originally comes from Munich, Germany. Prof. Sabine Cole lehrt seit dem Sommersemester 2022 an der Fakultät Design der HAWK Hildesheim. Ihre Professur gehört zum Kompetenzfeld „Advertising Design“ mit den Schwerpunkten Strategic Design, Branded Content und Storytelling. Sie begann ihre Karriere vor 25 Jahren als Werbetexterin und arbeitete bis 1999 in namhaften Werbeagenturen. Seit der Jahrtausendwende schreibt sie als Kolumnistin und Autorin für zahlreiche Magazine und Tageszeitungen. Sie ist bekannt als Journalistin, Autorin und Regisseurin von preisgekrönten Videos.
Sabine Cole hat zwei Bücher geschrieben, eines über Essen („Das große Kochen“, Brandstetter Verlag) und eines über Liebeskummer („Bye bye Love“, Rowohlt Verlag). Seit 2005 ist sie Chefredakteurin des unabhängigen Männermagazins FELD HOMMES, aus dem sich FELD 100 und später LOVED&FOUND entwickelten. Im Corporate Publishing war sie ab 2008 Chefredakteurin der Hamburger Designagentur loved GmbH, wo sie das nationale und internationale Audi-Magazin sowie weitere Unternehmensmedien von Volkswagen bis REWE verantwortete. Seit 2010 konzentriert sie sich verstärkt auf Videos und Online-Formate und leitet als Executive Creative Director die Branded Content und Video Unit Moved.

Felix Ofori Dartey is a PhD student (Graphic Design) and a Research Assistant at University of Leeds. He is also an independent design researcher, professional graphic designer and founder/organiser of a pan-Afrikan graphic design awards (Graphic Design Awards Afrika) for Afrikan university students. Felix is also involved in design advocacy and a founding member of Pan Afrikan Design Institute, and DesignGhana.
He holds a bachelor’s degree (2003) in Graphic Design from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana), and a master’s degree (2009) in Graphic Design from University of Leeds. He has over fifteen years of professional experience as a graphic designer working with advertising agencies in Ghana and as a freelancer in UK.
Felix moved to UK to pursue further studies where he learnt more about design, and now he is advocating for design to be used as a business tool and a tool for community and national development in Ghana and Afrika as a whole. He is also heavily involved in training and developing the next generation of Afrikan graphic designers through his awards scheme which is in Ghana, South Africa, Uganda and Kenya.

Der 1951 geborene Italiener zählt zu den wichtigsten Designern und Architekten unserer Zeit. Als Mitbegründer zweier bedeutender Designbewegungen des 20. Jahrhunderts – Alchimia und Memphis – hat er Geschichte geschrieben. Im Laufe seines Lebens entwarf er Möbel für die bekanntesten italienischen und europäischen Unternehmen und realisierte zahlreiche architektonische Projekte in Italien und im Ausland. Seit 2001 lehrte Michele De Lucchi an der IUAV in Venedig; 2008 wurde er zum Professor an der Fakultät für Design des Politecnico Mailand und zum Mitglied der Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rom ernannt.

Tanja Diezmann (*1969) gehört zu den Avantgardisten des Interface Designs. Sie studierte an der Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd und an der Hochschule der Künste Berlin. Nach Stationen als Creative Director von Pixelpark, als Professorin für Interface Design am Dessau Department of Design (HS Anhalt) und als Direktorin für Interaction/Interface Design am renommierten Art Center in Pasadena, USA, lehrt sie seit 2011 Interaction Design an der Hochschule für Künste in Bremen.
Spezialisiert auf die Entwicklung innovativer Interfaces und die Reduktion von Komplexität im Digitalen, arbeitet sie an der Verschränkung von Visualisierung, Dynamik und Interaktion. Mit ihrem Design Studio pReview digital design GmbH begleitet sie seit 2000 als Beraterin, Strategin und UX Expertin namhafte nationale und internationale Unternehmen. Tanja Diezmann lehrt, forscht und publiziert seit über 20 Jahren im Bereich UI/UX Design und Motion Graphics für interaktive und generische Anwendungen. Marion Digel ist Industriedesignerin und Professorin für GESTALTUNGSGRUNDLAGEN und FORM UND KONTEXT an der Folkwang Universität der Künste. Von 2012-2019 war sie Dekanin des Fachbereichs Design.
In ihrem Modul FORM UND KONTEXT befähigt sie die Studierenden, ihre Themen in alltägliche Produkte umzusetzen. Sie lernen, solide Designkonzepte mit Liebe zum Detail in Prototypen zu transformieren. In ihrer Designforschung reflektiert sie, ob und wie die Werte der Moderne des 20. Jahrhunderts Designer befähigen, den Herausforderungen des 21. Jahrhunderts zu begegnen.
Sie initiierte und betreute zahlreiche internationale Projekte im Industrial Design. Dazu zählen insbesondere Kooperationsprojekte mit Hochschulen in den USA u.a. mit dem Pratt Institute, Brooklyn NY und dem Rochester Institute of Technology. NY. Weiterhin bestehen Kontakte in Forschung und Lehre mit der Cranbrook Academy Detroit, Carnegie Mellon Pittsburgh, Illinois Institute of Technology ehem. New Bauhaus, Chicago, Ohio State University und zu den Archiven des Black Mountain College of Design Charlotte, NC. Zusätzlich engagierte sich Prof. Marion Digel auch für das IDI (Industrie Design Institute) ein Kooperationsprojekt mit der Zhaoqing University in Südchina um Plattformen für Projekte des interkulturellen Austauschs zu entwickeln.
Sie ist die Leiterin des Projekts FUTURE DESIGN PERSPECTIVES – International Ambassadors, bei dem sie mit dem Vignelli Center for Design Studies des RIT zusammenarbeitet.

Chris Do is an Emmy award-winning designer, CEO and Chief Strategist of Blind and the founder of The Futur — an online education platform that teaches creatives how to make a living doing what they love.
He currently serves as the chairman of the board for the SPJA, and as an advisor to Saleshood. He has also served as: advisory board member and programming chair for AIGA/ LA, Emmys Motion & Title Design Peer Group, Otis Board of Governors, Santa Monica College and Woodbury University.
He has taught Sequential design for over a decade at the Ar t Center College of Design. Additionally, he has lectured all over the world including Digital Design Days Milan/Geneva, Awwwards SF/NYC/AMS, The Design Conference Brisbane, Birmingham Design Festival, Creative South, AIGA national conference, Lu Xun Academy Fine Art Dalian, Motion Conference Santa Fe, MIT Boston, Bend Design Conference Bend, VMA Design Conference San Francisco, Graphika Manila, Create Philippines, Rise Up Summit Cairo, RGD Design Thinkers Toronto, California Institute of the Arts, LA Art Institute, Otis College of Design, UCLA, MGLA, Cal State Los Angeles/ Northridge, Post Production World, Adobe Video World and San Diego University.

Dave Dombrow is currently consulting, teaching and launching a new start-up Brand in the Athletic Industry. Mr. Dombrow has a passion for Athletic Performance and is constantly looking to challenge the status quo and progress the industry. Mr. Dombrow has over 20 years of experience including positions at Under Armour, Nike, GBMI, Puma and Salomon. Most recently Mr. Dombrow served as Chief Design Officer at Under Armour where he oversaw all Design / Design Strategy. Previously, he was Performance Creative Director at Puma, held various Design roles at GBMI and was a member of the Basketball Footwear Design Team at Nike.
His introduction to Footwear Design began while interning at Salomon in Boulder, Colorado. Not able Accomplishments: Throughout the last 20 years, Mr. Dombrow has worked on many great teams, been featured inpublications and received various Design / Innovation Awards from Red Dot, Runner’s World, Outside, Nike, and Competitor. Additionally, Mr. Dombrow helped grow Under Armour business from approx 750 million to approx 5 billion during his tenure.
Mr. Dombrow is originally from San Diego where he was often found drawing and developed his love for gear and all things performance. He attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina but ultimately followed his passion for Design and graduated with Honors from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon with his wife, two kids, cat and dog. You can usually find him spending time with his Family, obsessing Footwear, or out on a Trail.

Susanne Dreyer ist Designerin und Architektin und erforscht technologiegetriebene Designforschungsmethoden in kreativen Räumen. Sie hat einen Master-Abschluss in Architektur und Industriedesign von der TUM (Technische Universität München). Nach mehreren Jahren als Architektin und freiberufliche Designerin ist sie derzeit wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Doktorandin am Lehrstuhl für Integrierte Produktgestaltung (Prof. Thoring) an der TUM. Darüber hinaus verfügt sie über ein breites Fachwissen in verschiedenen Bereichen, von der digitalen Fabrikation mit Schwerpunkt 3D-Druck über die enge Zusammenarbeit mit Start-ups als Designerin bis hin zu typischer architektonischer Arbeit und Hochschullehre.

Vikki is a design theory and history lecturer, focusing on design evolution and theories that influence modern design practice. She is a tenured member of staff at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Her interest in the user experience and service design fields, has resulted in the number of international research projects funded by the European Union and corporate consultancy.
Vikki believes that creative exploration is a powerful tool in the learning experience and as such explored both traditional design practice and arts-based methods. She is passionate about establishing a holistic learning culture and developing frameworks to support this. Working on research projects with Umulusi, the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training, has offered her an opportunity to contribute to the development of educational in South Africa.
Currently Vikki is one of the directors of Innovative Design Education Africa (IDEA) Collective. As part of this exciting organization she has the opportunity to explore and share the impact that design and creative thinking can have on life-long learning and preparing individuals for the world of the future.

Matthias Edler-Golla (Jahrgang 1964) studierte an der HfG Offenbach Produktgestaltung. Während des Studiums absolvierte er mehrmonatige Praktika in England, USA und Deutschland. 1994 gründete er zusammen mit Regina Wachenfeld das Designbüro Wachenfeld & Golla, dessen Hauptausrichtung die Gestaltung und Realisierung von digitalen Produkten ist. Zu den Auftraggebern zählen Firmen wie Audi, BMW, Bosch, Continental, Mettler Toledo, Nils Holger Moormann, Opel, Saab, Siemens, Sony, Winterhalter.
Neben der Gestaltung und Realisierung von Websites gehört das Konzipieren und Erstellen von Graphical User Interfaces zu den Schwerpunkten seiner Arbeit. Diese Interfaces finden ihren Einsatz in so unterschiedlichen Bereichen wie Car Infotainment Systemen, Expertensystemen in der Medizin-Technik oder Embedded Systems im Investitionsgüter-Bereich. Dabei steht stets der Mensch im Vordergrund, der imstande sein möchte, mit diesen teilweise völlig neuen Technologien intuitiv umzugehen (Human Centered Design).
Seit 1997 ist Matthias Edler-Golla Lehrbeauftragter an diversen Hochschulen: HfG Offenbach, Freie Universität Bozen, FH Deggendorf, FH Salzburg, Hochschule München. 2011 berief ihn die FH Salzburg (Studiengang MMA) als festangestellten Hochschullehrer, 2012 folgte die Berufung an die Hochschule München. Neben den Fächern „Interaction Design“ und „Web Design“ im Bachelor- Studiengang unterrichtet er auch „Ökologie & Nachhaltigkeit“ im Master-Studiengang. Für Hochschulprojekte kooperiert er gerne interdisziplinär und fakultätsübergreifend mit KollegInnen und Institutionen der Hochschule München sowie Partner aus Industrie und Gesellschaft.
